Auditions for West Plains Playhouse’s Animal Farm directed by Jon Guilbert Jr. are coming July 27 and 28 at 6PM to the West Plains Civic Center! 🐖

Ages 12 and up are welcome to sign up! Cast size is 6 to 12 any gender and expandable. If you are new to acting or the area, this will be a great opportunity to get onstage with West Plains’ theatre group. 👏
Rehearsals are August 3 – September 10 every Mon, Tues, and Thurs from 5:30PM – 9PM at the West Plains Civic Center. Tech Week rehearsals leading up to shows may run longer.
Performances are September 11 – 20 at the West Plains Civic Center.

🚗💙 Parents of Teen Drivers — This One’s for You! 💙🚗
Is your teen getting ready to drive or recently earned their permit? Join us for Safe Driving 101 for Parents & Teens and learn everything you need to know about Missouri’s Graduated Driver License (GDL) program. This FREE program will cover driving rules, restrictions, safety tips, and practical guidance to help teens become safe, responsible drivers. Parents will also gain valuable information and confidence to support their teen behind the wheel.

From Country Express Band: Well folks we have a new schedule and another new venue to play music. We are very excited to be playing at the West Plains Civic Center in the Exhibit Hall. It is on the Northwest side of the building, we have played there before. Classic Country, Classic Rock and a lot of favorites. Two step, Line Dance, cha-cha and a waltz or two. Come and join us for a fun dance and a good time with friends, family friendly event.
* $6.00 per person to get into the dance
* 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
No alcohol. We will have bottled water for $1.00 a bottle

🚗🔥 2026 Cruise In 🔥🚗
Join us on August 1st at 4 PM for an afternoon full of cool rides, great food, and community fun! The cruise will begin at the Mobile City Lot, and everyone is invited to come out and show off what they drive. (Mobile City Lot is on Highway 63 just south of the Elks Lodge.)
Cars, trucks, semis, motorcycles, classics, customs, hot rods — all vehicle types are welcome! If you think it’s cool, we want to see it!
This event is being held in honor of Wayne and Ralph Burnett, with all proceeds benefiting the West Plains Elk Lodge #2418 Tradeschool Scholarship Fund to help support future skilled trades students in our community.

The West Plains Photography Club currently has 34 members and meetings are at 6:30 p.m. the second Monday of each month in the Missouri State University-West Plains Creative Discovery Center, 411 West Main Street, Suite 1. Everyone regardless of age or ability is invited to join the club which has no membership dues.
The purpose of the club is to share and support everyone’s passion for photography arts whether they are a beginner or have been engaged in photography for many years. Present members include some who do not even own a camera to professionals who make a living by selling their art.
